Meet Dr. Rachel Knowles
DCN, MS, LDN, CNS, FMCP, Herbalist
I am a clinical nutritionist, professor, herbal educator, writer, homeschooler, and mother.
My background in nutrition and health science taught me to value research, physiology, safety, and thoughtful evaluation. Herbalism taught me to slow down, observe more closely, and remain open to forms of knowledge that cannot always be reduced to a chart or laboratory value.
I am especially drawn to the places where science and tradition meet. I love learning about a plant’s constituents and physical actions, but I also want to understand its history, energetics, flavor, scent, and the relationship people have built with it over generations.

My approach to herbalism is practical, curious, and deeply connected to the natural world. I believe we can work with herbs responsibly without losing the beauty, mystery, and meaning that draw so many of us to plants in the first place.

Through Herbal Wellness Collective, I create workshops, classes, seasonal resources, recipes, and learning experiences for adults, professionals, children, and families.

My hope is to make herbalism feel welcoming and understandable while still honoring its depth.
